Ready for MORE of what you got your Husky for? In close cooperation with McCreery Aviation of McAllen, TX, (a well known and well respected Aviat Dealer), Power Flow Systems, Inc. has developed a new Tuned Exhaust System for the Aviat Husky. This exhaust system is FAA approved by STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) for all A1, A1A, A1B and A1C-180 models powered by Lycoming O-360 engines.
In recognition of the superior performance offered by our system, Aviat Aircraft now offers our Tuned Exhaust System as a factory option on all new production Huskies with the Lycoming O-360 engine.

Current Husky flying customers have confirmed our system’s performance improvements:
Don't just take our word for it - listen to what just some of our happy Power Flow customers have to say about the Power Flow tuned exhaust system on their aircraft :
So whether you like to use your “Dawg” for exploring some of those awe-inspiring back-country air strips, or just touring the country from a lofty (but not too lofty) perspective, Power Flow’s innovative Tuned Exhaust System will give you more of the breathtaking performance for which the Husky is so well-known.
As a matter of fact, several of our customers have observed that our system puts the performance of their 180HP Huskies squarely on a par with Aviat’s new 200HP versions – at a very small fraction of the price differential between those two aircraft.
And, of course, our industry leading 60 day money back guarantee means that if for some reason the performance benefits listed above fail to materialize on your Husky, you can return the system to us within 60 days of its installation for a full refund of your purchase price. Fine Print? You just read it.
As noted above, the cabin heat output of Power Flow equipped Huskies is over 100ºF hotter than the stock cabin heat, so existing aircraft need to install Aviat's optional metal heater vents or watch in rapt fascination as your plastic vents are reduced to molten puddles before your very eyes (Trust us – we’ve done it!).
Husky aircraft not equipped with Aviat’s optional Vernier Mixture control should upgrade to the Vernier Mixture control. The Vernier control operates like the propeller pitch control for precise adjustment of the mixture. This allows you to take full advantage of the improvements in performance and fuel economy made possible by the Power Flow System.
We also strongly recommend the installation of the Challenger Air Filter system to further improve the performance of your Husky. Utilizing K&N’s high performance, reusable filtration media, the Challenger offers a very cost-effective improvement to the induction side of the engine. It is a great complement to the improvement in the exhaust side of the engine provided by Power Flow.
As a convenience, you can order the Heater Vents, Mixture Control and Challenger Air Filter as a Package from us when you order your new Power Flow Tuned Exhaust to make installation easier and save on shipping costs.

Aviat Husky Exhaust System Information
A couple of other important pieces of information
#1) We strongly recommend that the aircraft's propeller be dynamically balanced to within 0.2 ips (inches per second) upon installation of the Power Flow System and every two to four years thereafter. If the propeller is dynamically balanced within 25 flight hours of the installation of the Power Flow System and you furnish PFS with copies of the logbook entries confirming this, PFS will extend the warranty on the Tuned Exhaust System from 12 months to 24 months or 500 Flight Hours (whichever occurs first).
Doing so every 2 - 4 years thereafter will dramatically improve the useful life and the reliability of every component that is bolted to the engine, including the Power Flow System.
#2) The Power Flow System has no service life limit. It is designed and built to last several thousand flight hours and will quite likely be the last exhaust system you need to buy for your Husky. As with any high performance system however, it must be maintained properly. Every 500 flight hours or annually (whichever comes first) the four slip joints on the system must be cleaned and lubricated with high temperature anti-seize compound.
Most customers have this maintenance performed during the aircraft's annual inspection which adds about 2 hours of labor to the inspection. We have had several of our Tuned Exhaust Systems rack up over 4,000 flight hours of trouble free performance (7,000+ flight hours is the current record in a commercial operation) as long as this maintenance is performed as required.
